The initial premise is that a serial killer is murdering people with alliterative names. The murders follow an alphabetical order, starting with a victim whose initials were A. A, and appear to lack a motive.
An unnamed reviewer in the Daily Mirror of 16 January 1936 said, \"I'm thanking heaven I've got a name that begins with a letter near the end of the alphabet! That's just in case some imitative soul uses this book as a text book for some nice little series of murders.\" They summed up, \"It's Agatha Christie at her best.\"[9]
The ABC Murders is perhaps one of the darkest of all of Poirot's investigations. It is about a killer who is one sick puppy. This time around our Belgian babe detective is hunting a killer, who signs letters \"A.B.C.\". A pretty specific tag. The murderer's spree starts in Andover, moving to Bexhill, and then Churston. OK you are getting that alphabetical element, and their initials also have the ABC vibe. After each murder the killer also leaves a copy of The ABC Railway Guide. So like most serial killers, there is a pattern to the murders. Or, maybe they're just a big Jackson Five fan. OK kidding but real talk, this story is about as dark as it gets for Poirot.
Then some #newwilden shows up and creepily knows all the girls' names. We're meant to be terrified but they've all now been implicated in multiple murders and it would be a little weird if the police didn't know their names.
While back at his apartment, Castle is contacted by a friend of Montgomery's, who appeared earlier in the episode inspecting the files that Montgomery had sent him before he faced Lockwood. He contacts the US Capital after reading the files and then contacts Castle. Castle discovers that in order to guarantee Beckett's safety, Montgomery had made a deal with the man behind the murders. In exchange for not releasing files that could hurt him, he wouldn't kill Beckett. It is revealed that after Montgomery's death, the deal no longer applied, since he had assumed that the files had died with Montgomery, and so led to the assassination attempt on Beckett. However, Castle is told that the deal was back since the files were back in the picture. Castle talks to Martha about it and decides that in order to keep Beckett safe, he would try to keep her away from her mother's's case.
In California, Mike, Will, and Jonathan are under house arrest. Owens' cronies tell them about the Hawkins murders and how Eleven is working on getting her powers back. For now, they aren't allowed to talk to anyone or go anywhere. As their armed babysitters sit in front of the TV, the trio, who are distrustful of Owens, hatch a plan to hitch a ride with Argyle and head to Hawkins. Unfortunately, Sullivan's camouflaged goons are one step ahead of them, showing up at the doorstep with machine guns in tow. A striking single-shot shootout unfolds, leaving both guards wounded. The diversion, however, clears the path for escape. Mike, Will, Jonathan, and one of the bleeding guards end up in the back of Argyle's pizza delivery van.
She's alive. For now, at least. So maybe it's time to address Steve's (valid) questions. How, exactly, is Vecna choosing his victims Is he connected to the Mind Flayer And what's he been doing in the years between the murder of Creel's family and this new rash of murders
How, though, does one kill a Vecna A stake through the heart Cut off his head Steve, Max, Lucas, Dustin, Nancy, Robin, and Eddie ponder as much as they convene at Skull Rock. The walls are closing in: Max is marked for death, Eddie's name and photo is being broadcast on the news in relation to the Hawkins murders, and Jason is convinced Patrick's death was part of a satanic ritual. He crashes Powell's emergency town hall meeting and declares the Hellfire Club a murderous cult, blaming them for the Starcourt fire and Hawkins' myriad mysteries. \"Let us cast out this evil and save Hawkins forever!\" he rallies, inciting a witch hunt that spits in the face of Powell's newly instated curfew. Erica's insistence that Hellfire is nothing but a \"club for nerds\" falls on deaf ears.
His anger, we learn in a supervillain speech delivered to Eleven, stems from a rabid hatred of humanity and society. He describes humans as \"pests.\" Before and after the Creel murders, he was studied by Brenner, who sought to control and clone him. In the lab, surrounded by the dead, Peter, impressed by her abilities, asks Eleven to leave the lab with him. She refuses and Peter begins snapping her bones. On the verge of death, she has a vision of birth () that I'm sure will make more sense later. Anyways, this rejuvenates her, giving her the ability to overcome Peter and, it appears, banish him to the Upside Down.
As the summer of racial reckoning played out across our screens with people filling the streets to protest the police murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and others, Black Lightning creator Salim Akil watched and thought deeply about what he could do. 59ce067264
